    Living High on the Hog!

It’s been a very interesting week here, in Blangy Le Chateau, France. We are working deep in the Normandy countryside. Our studio is located in one of the buildings attached to an old ‘manoir’ . You walk out of the studio and birds are singing and there is a very relaxed atmosphere here. So far, we have composed 3 or 4 new tracks and we have videod all kinds of stuff from interviews, to songs we are working on for the next tour. It really is a luxury to be able to get together like this, particularly since the band members live all over the place.

I had a strange encounter the other night while trying to find my way back to the cottage I’m staying in. It’s a moonless night and therefore pitch dark - I mean dark. I’m stumbling along this country lane when out of the bushes, something black and about the size of a labrador, gives a loud grunt and rushes by me. There’s only one thing it could have been; a wild pig or boar, known to the French as Sanglier. What do I do - head back in the direction of the main house or continue on, hoping the light will get better? I opt for the latter since going back in the other direction might bring me into contact with a herd of these beasts. Pretty scary - I tell you.
