    round and round we go

A few years ago I decided to sell my vinyl collection, some 800 albums. Partly because I wanted to let go of the past and partly because I was flat broke. You can all guess which one was the main reason..Anyway, a friend of mine bought the collection, because he didn´t want them to go to a dealer. And I would allways have the option of buying them back. He sadly passed away a year ago, and his widow was in need of money so she sold them to a dealer a few months ago. So, to cut a long story short, I ended buying one of my own albums back. That was Boxer´s "Below the Belt". Featuring Ollie Halsall and Mike Patto. You can´t get that on cd..
That got me carrying my record player upstairs and setting my stereos there. And I thought to myself " I´m gonna start buying vinyls again. Because the truth is, they sound better than cds. And you don´t need glasses to see the cover. And you have to spend your money on something:)There is a lot of albums and bands I just simply didn´t have the time to check out years ago. Amazing Blondel being one of them. I also bought Glen Campbell´s Greatist Hits. Great pop songs, often penned by the master tunesmith Jimmy Webb. Remember "Wichita Lineman"? So this will be the start of my new vinyl collection. Actually, I didn´t sell my whole collection, I kept three albums for myself..the first two Juicy Lucy albums and jade Warriors "Waves".
For my money there is nothing better.
