A couple of days ago we visited one of my favourite English cities, Salisbury, in the beautiful county of Wiltshire. The City Hall played host to us. Those merry pranksters, the Hamsters, also joined us for the show. Post show, Bob Skeat was delighted, as a fan of all things archeological, to find out that Phil Harding of the hugely popular Channel 4 TV show, Time Team, was in the audience. This wonderful program has been syndicated worldwide and has done a huge amount to popularise archeology and to improve the public’s awareness of just how important the past is to us all. As a collector of rare coins himself, Bob, together with the band, got to meet Phil, who in real life, does actually have one of the richest West Country accents imaginable.
It turns out that Phil is also a bit of a closet Les Paul player himself. So, it was a bit of a mutual admiration society and as you can see by the picture, a good time was had by all.
