It was a nice day, spent by myself, mooching around Falls Church, a suburb of D.C. doing some banking, making some phone calls, e -mails, eating some pasta and generally mixing in with the locals. I went to the car wash. Had a great time with the guys there. They managed to put the whole rig through the wash giving it the full detailing inside and out while I drank coffee. Turned ‘em on to the new CD. It felt good. Interesting Hispanic and Vietnamese neighborhood – lotta busy, busy. This is the real America in action – continually reinventing itself – doing da business.
Our US agent, Steve Ozark, has been along helping out on the last few dates as well as having booked them all in the first place. We had to make some room for him since, at 6’5”, he takes up a lotta space. He handles a trailer well, I’ll say that. I’m really looking forward to the Sellersville show tomorrow – our last gig Stateside, until next Spring, when we’ll catch up with the West Coast. There will also be some more East Coast dates, including a return to the Ramshead, in Annapolis, as well as ROS Fest in Philly.
BTW is this band not great?
I’m just loving the music we make together. Sounds obvious, but it needs to be said once in a while. The guys have excelled on this trip. Smokin’ Joe Crabtree is everywhere and has really put in 200 % both on stage, on the website and pioneering new technology within the on - stage environment. Get set for more in the New Year. To the Mudster and Mr. Skeat; thank you both, sincerely – I know America is a ball buster but you have both given it your all on this one! Our diehard fans – you have been amazing in your support and loyalty. We are truly humbled.
This evening, we meet up with webmaster, Leon Tsilis who has promised us an Italian feast not to be forgotten. We’ll raise a glass to you all.
Best wishes ~ A.P.
