Twitter test, Wishbone Ash podcast and the media

    Twitter test:
Ok, if all goes well the addition of this blog should be posted automatically on the Twitter feed within the hour. That means (if you have a Twitter account and it's hooked up to your mobile) you'll be notified of new blogs by text message!

    Podcast:
Tonight's gig at The Brook saw the introduction of an Edirol R-09 recorder. Tonight we used the the built in mics to record the gig. On different nights we'll try recording through the monitor desk. We'll pick various live songs and add them to the Wishbone Ash podcast (which doesn't exist yet, but give me a couple of days ;) Hopefully once it's up and running we can add a variety of other media to the podcast - maybe some acoustic versions recorded in the dressing room or some stories from Andy. Time will tell!

    Media:
We're always looking to reach new Wishbone Ash fans and get the word out that the band is still going strong. If you fancy yourself as a bit of a journalist and want to write some reviews for local papers or inform them of upcoming gigs you'd be doing us a big favour. We're looking to run some competitions to win tickets and TShirts on local radio in the near future so keep your ears peeled.

    Twitter (again):
So we're a couple of days into the Twitter experiment. I see we have 8 new followers - wishboneash, andymarsh16, wishboneash_jp, leaf_and_stream, sekrph, deejayess, Shinya_i & illimey. Welcome to you all and thanks for giving it a go. It really is easy to get set up (see previous blog). Once you're following wishboneblog you can click on the icon to see who else is following and choose to follow them if you want. Wishboneblog is following all of you so anything you post on your Twitter will show up in the Wishboneblog feed - that means you can all see each other's post by looking at the wishboneblog page. If you want to receive text notifications of other followers' updates then you need to follow them directly. Hope that makes some sense. Play around with it and you'll soon figure it out.

    That's all for now,
    goodnight,
    Joe
